2022 MAZDA3 Safety

Finding ways to incorporate safety into all your drives just became easier in the 2022 MAZDA3 sedan. For all your Metairie, Harvey, or New Orleans, Louisiana, travels, these systems put prevention and protection into your hands. Grip the wheel and let the team at Paretti Mazda describe how you’ll stay safe behind the wheel of a Mazda.

Clearly See What Surrounds You

With the i-ActivSense® Safety Technology suite of safety systems, you’re given innovative tools that will guide you through treacherous conditions and unreliable roads.

A handful of devices can open your eyes to less-visible areas, so you’ll never miss a trick. Although a Rear View Monitor comes standard, the available 360° View Monitor provides wraparound views right on your 8.8-inch Mazda Connect screen.

In addition to the extra views, other available systems target areas like blind spots that cannot easily be seen with the naked eye. Blind Spot Monitoring focuses on these areas so you remain aware of what’s coming up.

As you’re backing out of a parking space, Rear Cross Traffic Alert acts as a second pair of eyes. If a car moves in from either side, both audible and visual alerts will warn you.

Stay in Your Lane and on Track

Staying in your lane or departing from it takes strategic maneuvering. Don’t go about it alone. Rely on the lane-centric systems that come in the Mazda3.

Lane-keep Assist helps you stay on track with steering assistance even if you get distracted while driving. The Lane Departure Warning System plays a complementary role by alerting you when your car wanders out of the lane.

Fight the traffic no more. The Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go does it for you by maintaining a safe distance and speed from the car ahead. If the car in front of you stops, you’ll stop, too, and then you can resume speed when traffic’s in motion once again.

Traffic Jam Assist works in tandem with this cruise control system. It offers low-speed steering assist when there’s heavy congestion at speeds topping out at 40 MPH.

Ever find yourself drifting on the road late at night? If so, whether due to driver fatigue or daydreaming, the Driver Attention Alert system nudges you to stay alert. It detects patterns of drifting so you’re not all over the road and headed for trouble.

Braking and Parking

Tapping on the brakes slows down your vehicle and stops your car when necessary. Sometimes, though, unexpected events occur, and you may not tap the brakes in time. With Smart Brake Support, the brakes activate when they detect an impending collision.

If you add Smart Brake Support-Rear Crossing, you’ll get the same sharp senses in the back. This system works with Rear Cross Traffic Alert to engage the brakes when a crash appears imminent.

Achieving a parking goal needs the ingenuity that parking sensors bring. You’re slipping into that plum spot with front and rear parking sensors that will alert you when you’re close to an obstacle. The frequency of the warning builds up the closer you get to the obstacle.
