MAZDA3 Trims Review
Mazda adorns its sedans with numerous luxuries, and the Mazda3 is no exception. Plenty of standard features will keep you comfortable, but upgrades are also available for those seeking extra amenities.
This Mazda3 trims review will outline some of the unique features you will find, covering everything from comfort to technology to safety. Drivers near Metairie, Harvey, and New Orleans, Louisiana, can read our article below to learn more. Contact us at Paretti Mazda if you’d like to discuss any features!
2.0 Sedan
On this base trim, you’ll be seated in standard black cloth seats and will be able to use Bluetooth® hands-free phone and audio streaming or listen to HD Radio™ through an 8-speaker sound system.
Smart Brake Support, the Lane Departure Warning System, and Dynamic Stability Control with Traction Control System are just a few of the standard driver-assistive features you will find.
2.5 S Sedan
Step up to this trim and you’ll now be able to connect via standard Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ integration for more music selections and to find directions.
Not a whole lot changes between this trim and the base, and you will find the same black cloth seats, 8-speaker sound system, and safety features mentioned above.
There are, however, some different paint colors to choose from. While the base trim offers Sonic Silver Metallic and Jet Black Mica, this trim switches out Sonic Silver Metallic for Snowflake White Pearl Mica and adds a sleek Deep Crystal Blue Mica.
Select
This trim is where you’ll start to see more noticeable upgrades, including a dual-zone automatic climate control system, black leatherette seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear selector.
It’s also the first one to offer the available i-Activ AWD® (all-wheel drive) system if you’d prefer an all-wheel drivetrain over the standard front-wheel one. Plus, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert also come standard.
Preferred
Seats stay leatherette on the Preferred trim of the Mazda3, but you can now choose between a black or greige color.
Your front seats now come heated, while the driver’s seat has an 8-way power adjustment that also features lumbar support and 2-position memory.
Dual-zone automatic climate control is still on this trim, but a more natural alternative for some cool air can be found via the power sliding-glass moonroof.
Premium
The Premium trim sees further added amenities through the Bose® 12-speaker premium audio system with Centerpoint® 2 and AudioPilot® along with a 3-month subscription to SiriusXM® Satellite Radio.
Your seats will now be leather, with your choice of a black or white color. These seats join the leather gear selector and leather-wrapped steering wheel, which now also features paddle shifters.
2.5 Turbo
The 2.5 Turbo trim is so named because of the turbo engine it comes with. While the previous trims feature the standard Skyactiv®-G 2.5 4-cylinder engine, this one is turbocharged and provides you with more power. It also comes standard with i-Activ AWD®.
This trim level goes back to offering black or greige leatherette seats along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Heated front seats and now a heated steering wheel come standard.
2.5 Turbo Premium Plus
The 2.5 Premium Plus level will also feature the Skyactiv®-G 2.5 Dynamic Pressure Turbo engine and i-Active AWD®. This trim features some exclusive safety features, like a 360° View Monitor and Traffic Jam Assist.
Leather seats are the standard again but this time with perforation. Your heated front seats and steering wheel will bring comfort if you travel to colder locations, during which time you can also use the Mazda Navigation system.
