Mazda CX-30 vs Subaru Forester

From engine specs to interior tech, there are a lot of factors to consider when selecting your next vehicle. At Paretti Mazda, we want to make it easier by providing you with key information about the 2020 Mazda CX-30 and the 2020 Subaru Forester. Metairie, Harvey, and New Orleans drivers can take a look inside to see which SUV is designed for your specific needs.

Mazda CX-30 Performance

Invigorating Daily Drives

When choosing your next vehicle, it’s essential you find a ride with the exciting drive you desire. The 2020 Mazda CX-30 and the 2020 Subaru Forester deliver with 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engines under the hood, but you may prefer the Mazda CX-30 with 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain in the Forester, on the other hand, falls short with only 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque.

Additionally, you may prefer the way the Mazda CX-30 drives thanks to Skyactiv-Vehicle Dynamics with G-Vectoring Control Plus. This system seamlessly balances vehicle weight and power when cornering to gently usher you around twists and turns in the road. Unfortunately, this feature is exclusive to Mazda cars, so you won’t find it on the Forester.

Entertainment Wherever You Roam

With such a sleek performance, you’ll find yourself wanting to spend more time behind the wheel. For longer treks out of town or when running errands, you’ll be happy to have an 8.8-inch Mazda Connect™ infotainment system with your 2020 Mazda CX-30. This display comes with Bluetooth® hands-free streaming, so you can easily connect your compatible device and enjoy your favorite tunes. A similar feature is available in the Forester, too, but it’s a much smaller 6.5-inch display. If you want, you can upgrade to an 8-inch display, but it still falls short of the standard Mazda Connect™ on the Mazda CX-30.

As you jam out to your road trip playlist or catch up on the latest podcast, the standard 8-speaker system in the Mazda CX-30 will provide you with crystal-clear sound. Once again, the 2020 Subaru Forester falls short with a standard 4-speaker system. You can upgrade to a 9-speaker system in the Forester, but it still can’t match the available Bose® premium audio system with Centerpoint® 2 and AudioPilot® surrounding you in concert-hall quality sound from 12 high-quality speakers.

Exciting Technology

Both SUVs are designed with one person in mind: the driver. To help make venturing around more engaging, they each offer an array of advanced technology. For example, consider Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go and the comparable system on the Forester. It maintains a set speed and following distance, even bringing you to a stop if traffic calls for it, so you can have a more relaxing ride.

The 2020 Mazda CX-30 takes convenience one step further with an available Active Driving Display. It projects key driving information onto your windshield so you can keep your eyes on the road. Since this technology isn’t found on the 2020 Subaru Forester, you’ll have to look away from your drive to access safety system warnings and turn-by-turn navigational directions.
